Koya Consulting

Our Senior Team

Koya brings over twenty years of combined experience in nonprofit and corporate strategy, human resources, and executive recruiting. We work with organizations whose names are household words, and those who are just getting started. We work with non-profits whose impact is felt around the world, and those who work to transform neighborhoods closer to home.

Katie Bouton, President and Founder

Katie Bouton is a human resources development professional with over ten years of professional experience. As a search consultant, Katie has worked with a wide variety of social service and international non-profit organizations. She has conducted searches at all levels, from Executive Coordinators to Vice Presidents of Development. She has a passion for finding the "right" person for a position, and a commitment to helping non-profit organizations fulfill their mission.

Katie also specializes in employee relations, benefits/compensation, and employee communications. She has expertise in addressing performance needs through training and human resources assessment techniques. Additionally, she has developed and executed professional development trainings on a variety of topics, from sexual harassment to management skills.

She began her career in the public sector as a human resources generalist at the Institute for Teaching and Research on Women and the Women's Law Center of Maryland. She then moved to the private sector, working as a human resources manager for several mid-size corporations. She has also worked as an executive recruiter for the healthcare and public relations fields. She currently serves as a peer reviewer for LifeWorks, a division of the Ceridian Corporation, consulting on employee communication publications.

Ms. Bouton has also been an adjunct faculty member in human resources at North Shore Community College. She holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Development from Towson University. She consults to a number of non-profit boards, including Girl's Leap.

Dana Levy, Director of Executive Search & Strategy

Dana comes to Koya with a background in nonprofit strategic partnerships and cause branding. She earned her MBA at Babson's Olin School of Business, with a focus on socially responsible business models and innovative nonprofits. Since then, Dana has worked as a consultant and a freelancer for clients such as The Timberland Company, Cone Inc., and Cause Consulting Group. Her work as a consultant to nonprofits gave her a strategic perspective on how hiring needs align with the organization's overall goals. As a recruiter, Dana believes that finding people who understand the mission is just as important as finding people with the right resumes. Dana is still active at the Olin School of Business, guest teaching a Social Entrepreneurship course at the graduate school.
