Koya Consulting, a dynamic and mission-driven executive search firm dedicated to the non-profit sector, is seeking a Senior Search Consultant to manage a portfolio of national non-profit clients. Koya Consulting partners with clients to find exceptional candidates that fit the unique needs of their organizations, and our overarching mission is to strengthen the non-profit sector through human capital investments. The Senior Search Consultant will be responsible for managing all aspects of the recruiting process, including working closely with non-profit executives to understand their hiring needs, then leveraging Koya’s intellectual capital and research resources to find highly qualified candidates. The ideal candidate will have experience in organizational development and relationship management as well as a deep understanding of and passion for the non-profit sector. Demonstrated success in project management and excellent communication skills are a must. This position has potential to be virtual but will require some travel to the Koya Consulting office located in Newburyport, MA.
Responsibilities:
Oversee executive search process, including:
- Manage a portfolio of 5-7 executive searches with national non-profits
- Conduct client needs assessment to truly understand needs and goals of position
- Manage client relationships, ensuring consistent and timely communication to build trust and facilitate the search process
- Collaborate with research staff to source, interview, and assess high quality candidates
- Provide regular reports and written communication to clients on candidate assessments and search progress
- Maintain ongoing communication with candidate pool
- Coordinate Koya staff efforts to ensure quality and efficiency of search
- Help maintain and leverage Koya’s expanding candidate database
- Participate in other business development efforts as needed
- 5-7 years professional work experience
- Excellent intuition about people, including the ability to gauge whether an individual would be a strong fit with a particular role and a particular organizational culture
- Superb communications skills and the ability to connect with a wide range of individuals at the candidate and client level
- Strong project management skills, the ability to drive simultaneous, multi-stakeholder, and deadline driven projects
- First-hand knowledge of the non-profit sector, preferably within the social enterprise or education reform sector
- Keen attention to detail and follow through
- Ability to assess interpersonal dynamics and motivations of individuals within an organization
- Tenacity and resourcefulness required to source and engage candidates under time pressure
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment that is constantly evolving
- Flexibility and a sense of humor
- Demonstrated success building and maintaining client relationships
- True commitment to building a strong non-profit sector
- Proven ability to self-direct and take initiative
- Solid technology skills, previous experience working with a database preferred
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree
