Katie is an organizational development professional with over fifteen years of experience in both the nonprofit and for profit sectors. Koya Consulting is an outgrowth of Katie’s belief that the right person really can make a difference and her commitment to helping nonprofit organizations fulfill their mission. Katie has worked with a wide variety of national and international nonprofit organizations, conducting searches at all levels, with a focus on recruiting senior leadership.

Katie also has expertise in leadership and retention initiatives, employee relations, benefits/compensation, and employee communications. She has developed and executed professional development trainings on a variety of topics, from leadership development to recruitment and retention best practices. She takes on a number of select consulting projects each year in the area of organizational development, most recently with The New Teacher Project.

Katie began her career in the public sector as a human resources generalist at the Institute for Teaching and Research on Women and the Women's Law Center of Maryland. She then moved to the private sector, working as a human resources manager for several mid-size corporations. She has also worked as an executive recruiter for the healthcare and public relations fields and has been an adjunct faculty member in human resources at North Shore Community College. She holds a Master of Science in Organizational Development from Towson University. She consults to a number of nonprofit boards, including Girl's Leap and the Red Hook Initiative.

Molly oversees Koya’s executive search services, working closely with Koya’s non-profit clients to further their missions by recruiting and placing talented employees. Molly’s background is in the work-life and employee effectiveness field. Prior to joining Koya, she was a senior editor for LifeWorks, a division of the Ceridian Corporation, where she developed educational materials and strategic communications designed to improve employee engagement and increase retention. Molly also worked closely with clients to create customized materials and programs to help employees excel at work and in their personal lives. Molly previously worked as a journalist and has a Master’s in Writing and Publishing from Emerson College.

Lydia Carothers, Manager, Candidate Servicesenvelope_icon

As Manager, Candidate Services, Lydia oversees all of Koya’s candidate communications by providing information about current searches, scheduling interviews, and directing them to appropriate resources. She also manages Koya's Job Seeker Services, working directly with job seekers who are either in the non-profit sector or who are looking to transition from the private sector. A graduate of Boston University with a degree in Journalism and English, Lydia has a background in marketing and communications. Her previous work in corporate client and customer relations helps her provide excellent service to candidates and non-profit clients.

Katie is responsible for managing all research and outreach associated with an executive level search at Koya. She also maintains the data integrity of Koya’s proprietary database, oversees the website, and manages Koya’s marketing function. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire’s communication department, Katie’s previous professional experience includes an internship with the non-profit New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility, as well as work in the marketing and technology divisions of local engineering and insurance companies.
